Product Update

Production: June 07, 2023​

This Product Update provides a summary of changes and enhancements to the existing application that impact all customers. When applicable, it includes changes to functionality that were made to resolve customer-specific issues and that apply to all Tenovos users. Product Updates occur frequently and are separate from Release Notes.

Unless otherwise stated, the availability of each update is as follows:

  • UAT: June 06, 2023
  • Production: June 07, 2023
  • Availability: All Customers

User Experience Messages​

Messages displayed to users, whether a success or error message, have been increased from displaying on screen for six seconds to nine seconds. This was increased based on customer requests to display status messages for a longer period to ensure the messages are seen by users.

KEYWORD SEARCHES​

An update to keyword searches in the Content gallery search bar in this deployment that makes all searches case insensitive. Users can now search for keywords without having to match the case of the actual values.

SAVED SEARCHES​

The maximum character length for Saved Search names has been increased from 32 to 64 characters.

Bulk Edit​

SHOW REQUIRED FIELDS​

The Bulk Edit screen has been updated to show the toggle to see only Required Fields when more than one asset has been selected.

API​

NEW API ENDPOINT: /asset/scan​

A new search endpoint has been added to the Tenovos API to allow for paginated searches. This new endpoint is not restricted to 10,000 search results like the previous API endpoint for keyword search (/search/keyword) and supports paging through the entire result set.

The new endpoint uses a cursor parameter that retrieves the next set of results based on the requested page limit. Available page limits are 50 and 100.

Asset Transformations​

Performing transformations on assets has been enhanced to run as a job in the Job Center page, like Metadata Export and other jobs.

The limit to the number of assets that can be transformed at once has been increased from 50 to 250.

The limit on the total number of resulting transformations has been increased to 500.

Privileges and Permissions​

NOTE: Privileges are at the Role level while Permissions refer to Security Template User Group permissions.

NEW "FEATURE" PRIVILEGE TYPE​

A new Role Privilege type has been introduced to resolve issues where certain “Administrative” privileges by themselves do not grant access to the Admin section of Tenovos. Historically, these privileges needed to be coupled with other “Administrative” privileges to extend the capabilities with Admin that are available to users.

The following privileges have migrated from “Administrative” to “Feature”:

  • Delete Rights Object
  • Supporting Documents
  • Channel Admin
  • Storyboard Management

Users who already have these role privileges will retain them, only the Privilege Type has changed.

UPDATE TO "PDF PREVIEW" PERMISSION​

This deployment makes a change to the existing “PDF Preview” permission for user groups within Security Templates. Previously, for a user to view a full PDF file on the Asset Details page, the user group needed both the “PDF Preview” and “Download” permission. Now, only the “PDF Preview” permission is required to view the entire PDF on the Asset Details page.

DAM Administrators who previously granted a user group “Download” permission on a Security Template only so that users could view an entire PDF may wish to remove the download permission from those user groups with this update.

Other Enhancements & Quality Improvements​

  • Resolved an issue where assets with more than 100 relationships did not display all relationships within the "Relationships" tab at the bottom of the Asset Details page and the Manage Relationships page.
  • Resolved an issue where customers with watermarking enabled were not able to retrieve asset renditions via the API.
  • Resolved an issue where users with certain Administrative type privileges, or only one, were not able to access the Admin section of Tenovos.
